Description |
Cole Brothers Circus performers in the 1930s included lion trainer Clyde Beatty, clown Emmett Kelly, and cowboy star Ken Maynard. A fire destroyed the circus winter headquarters in 1940, killing many animals and causing others, including elephants, to roam the streets of Rochester. |
