Description |
Platted in 1814, Princeton was selected as Gibson County’s seat by four commissioners because the site was halfway on the Evansville and Vincennes stage line. It was named for William Prince, one of the commissioners, by a drawing of their names. This view shows the local band in front of the town's bandstand. |
