Description |
The first white settlement in what would become Indianapolis, that of John Wesley McCormick, Jr., is marked by this boulder on the east bank of White River. The son of a Revolutionary War veteran, John McCormick, Jr. lived here with his wife Bethia and their eight children. Today, the White River Trail passes by the site. |
