DescriptionDemocratic presidential nominee, Franklin D. Roosevelt, governor of New York, made a quick campaign stop in Indiana prior to the 1932 election. The seven-hour visit included a parade to the Circle and a speech from the balcony of the English Hotel. Estimates had anywhere from 80, 000 to more than 100, 000 people crowding the Circle to hear the future president that day.
