DescriptionJ.W. Hubbard had his portrait taken in Indianapolis by Charles Bretzman in 1919. The customer card lists him as being from Monrovia, Indiana, in Morgan County but nothing else is known about him. The double portrait shows him dressed in a suit with a tie and a high starched collar. The contrast can be seen between the untouched image on the left and the image on the right with imperfections removed. Mr. Bretzman was known for his skill with the retouching pencil.
