	East Side of the Square, Oxford, Indiana Title East Side of the Square, Oxford, Indiana Item ID P0391_BOX4_OXFORD Description The town was platted in 1843 when it was chosen to be the county seat. By 1873 the county courthouse was condemned and the capitol moved to Fowler. The town square is the only reminder of the courthouse's former location.
