DescriptionOnce neglected but since its restoration in 1949, the Duck Creek Aqueduct Covered Bridge is the only known covered wooden aqueduct still operating in the United States. The 60 foot long aqueduct was built in 1847 and conveys the Whitewater Canal over Duck Creek. This view shows the covered bridge after its restoration by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources in 1949.
