DescriptionArchitect Freeborn Patterson designed the present county courthouse on the site of the original 1841 courthouse. Built from 1867-1868 the brick structure has decorative wood brackets, arched windows, and a curved wooden staircase. It was remodeled in 1980-1981 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
