DescriptionBeck's Mill is a historic gristmill that was built by George Beck & sons. There have been three mills built on the same location, built in 1808, 1825, & 1864. After building forts to protect the mill from Indians in 1812, a settlement was founded. This view shows Mr. Beck in the doorway and his wife is behind the spinning wheel on the 2nd floor. The mill survived from years of neglect and was restored in 2008.
