DescriptionThe bronze statuary, weighing up to seven hundred pounds, was unbolted and removed from the monument by crane. Each piece was photographed and sketched before and after removal and then marked with a numbered aluminum tag. The statues were trucked to St. Louis for cleaning and restoration.
