	Little Turtle Name Little Turtle Birth/Death Dates d.1812 Where in Indiana Allen County When in Indiana ca. 1747-1812 Notable For Little Turtle was a Miami Indian chief. He fought against settlers in the Northwest Territory. After the Battle of Fallen Timbers in 1794 he reluctantly signed the Treaty of Greenville giving Indian land to the United States. Description Little Turtle is shown wearing a headdress of feathers and large earrings. He is wearing necklaces and one of them appears to be made of bear claws. Another is a medallion. He is also wearing an armband. A blanket is draped over his right shoulder.
