Bibliography/NotesSissle spent most of his youth in Indianapolis. He attended DePauw University and Butler University. As a young man he had an orchestra that played at the Severin Hotel in Indianapolis. He helped write and produce the musical Shuffle Along in 1921. Some of his well-known songs include "I'm Just Wild About Harry, " and "You Were Meant For Me." (Information taken from The Encyclopedia of Indianapolis)
