Notable ForAs a child Bill Peet spent much of his time drawing pictures. He was awarded a scholarship to study at Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis. He went to work for Walt Disney studios and worked on several animated films including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Song of the South. He wrote the script and helped animate 101 Dalmations. In 1964 he left the Disney Studios to write children's books. His autobiography was a Caldecott Honor Book in 1990.
