	John Dillinger Name John Dillinger Birth/Death Dates 1903-1934 Where in Indiana Marion County--Indianapolis; Morgan County--Mooresville; LaPorte County--Michigan City When in Indiana 1903-1934 Notable For In 1924 Dillinger attempted to rob someone in Mooresville. He was apprehended and sent to prison for 9 years. After his parole he began robbing banks across the state. He was captured in 1934 but escaped from a Lake County jail using a fake revolver. He was shot in Chicago in 1934 as he left a theatre. Description Dillinger is holding a pistol in one hand and a machine gun in the other. He is dressed in a three piece suit and hat, and is standing by a house.
