Notable ForThe artist was born Robert Clark, and later adopted the name of his home state. He studied at Herron School of Art in Indianapolis and the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in New York. He completed his studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has been a fellow at The University of Edinburgh and the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland. Mr. Indiana is known for his Pop Art of geometric paintings and sculptures that incorporate letters and other signs. One of his most famous works is the "Love" sculpture.
