| Transcription | STATE OF INDIANA ) )SS IN THE MARION J.P. COURT COUNTY OF MARION) SARAH WALKER ) Vs ) ) The CENTRAL AMUSEMENT ) COMPANY. ) COMPLAINT. Comes now the plaintiff and for cause of actions says, That defendant is a corporation duly incorporated and doing business under the laws of the state of Indiana with main office at IndianaxxNorthxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxStreet Indianapolis, Indiana; that defendant as said corporation owns, operates, and conducts a large and commodious moving picture show located at # North Illinois Street, in said city, that said show is styles and known as the "Isis", that said defendant company or corporation holds itself out by advertisement, large signs, and other means as a public place of amusement, inviting the general public to see the pictures shown therein, reserving the right to and does charge the sums of five and ten cents for admission thereto and is more popularly known as the five and ten cents show. Plaintiff avers, that on the 20th day of February, 1915, plaintiff went to said show and house the said Isis, when the same was in operation and other persons were being admitted to said show, and asked for a ticket at the same time offering to pay the usual, customary, and advertised price for the same, that defendant's ticket agent refused to take the money offered by tis plaintiff for said ticket, stating that said ticket would cost plaintiff twenty five cents, that plaintiff demanded an explanation of said ticket agent, and that said agent said that, that was what colored people would have to pay to see the said show; |
