PhotographerFox, O. James
Photo IDP0266_OVA_Box4_19
DescriptionWith the end of prohibition in the United States, several night clubs and taverns sprang up along Indiana Avenue after 1933. The Sunset Terrace was one of the many properties within the area owned by brothers Denver and Sea Ferguson. A large crowd is gathered around the Sunset Terrace and Sunset Cafe in Indianapolis. The crowd has apparently gathered here to catch a glimpse of Dizzy Gillespie before his scheduled performance.
